BBC had "massive bias to left:" director general: "The director general of the BBC admitted Thursday that his organisation had been guilty of a 'massive bias to the left' but said 'a completely different generation' of journalists now works at the broadcaster.
Mark Thompson told the right-of-centre Spectator magazine that there was an institutional bias when he joined the organisation, reinforcing the findings of a 2007 internal report which concluded that greater efforts were required to avoid liberal bias.

'In the BBC I joined 30 years ago, there was, in much of current affairs, in terms of people's personal politics, which were quite vocal, a massive bias to the left,' Thompson said."

Comments: I am shocked - shocked I tell you. Did you have any idea the BBC has a history of left leaning political agendas?

If you like, you can call the laws of science 'God', but it wouldn't be a personal God that you could meet, and ask questions.'"

Comments: Prof. Hawking wants to make it perfectly clear (before he goes to meet his maker) that Prof. Hawking does not believe in a maker. I suppose God gets the message. Good luck with that Prof. Hawking. Of course the Hawk has no better idea of how the universe came into being than how to get up out of his chair. But I give him marks for boldness.

LOVE HIM or hate him, there’s no denying the syndicated radio and Fox News host Glenn Beck, a Mormon, has become the de facto spokesman for conservative Christians in America.

But his “Restoring Honor” rally at the Lincoln Memorial yesterday shows that his call for political change has morphed into a call for revival:

Comments: I like Glenn Beck and I think he is right on in many areas. Glenn (may I call you Glenn?) has liberalism/progressivism nailed. He is right on in seeing our problems as spiritual in root. But the Mormon's Jesus is not a Christian one. Does that make a difference? Well, yes it does if you take the Bible literally (no God does not have feathers). The Bible does have metaphor within it but you know what I mean. So the more Glenn "preaches" the more cautious I get. Christian's are embracing a Glenn Beck theology with undiscerning fervor.

The PID interview mentioned above is worth a listen if you also are questioning the theology of our new and current "gospels".

The Greatest Threat

Is this a Christian issue? I don't think so. Christians can be Christian anywhere but some places are tougher than others. It is a "what works" issue. We may want to not work and still have money but it doesn't work. Adults should know this. Some do not.
