Commentary: The poverty of Democrats' ideas for cities - CNN.com: "NEW YORK (CNN) -- 'I think the best way of doing good to the poor is not making them easy in poverty but leading them or driving them out of it.'"
This commentary contains tip of the iceberg reasoning as to why I lean conservative as a Christian. Doing things that work and not just feel good or sound good makes more sense to me. Avoiding things that don't work is equally enlightened.

BHT likes to get "caught up" on those good sermons by well spoken, God fearing preachers. Their web sites sometimes have streams of their sermons. It's worth searching out.
If you are of a more "heretical" bent check out Pastor Greg Boyd's Woodland Hills.
Or stranger still (at times) is Rob Bell's Mars Hill.
A depressed evening (do Christians have those?) or some idle surfing time could be made profitable buy visiting your favorite preacher's websites.
