Is this just another wacky conspiracy theory? Come on ... no one really wants to get rid of people ... do they? Remember the economic machine called baby boomers? We loved them when they were producing. As they drift into retirement (with all that money) and leach off the producers, will we still love them? Or will they be considered an expensive waste of valuable resources?

One mistake we make when evaluating "conspiracy theories" is taking each individual element and debunking one part. Once we can shame one element we can throw the entire baby out with the bathwater. This "too many people" theme is common among rich and elite thinkers through time. Is there a better time to end run some crazy and subversive concept than when the crazies are in power? We have a perfect storm for CHANGE and don't think it is being wasted.

Like ... The Current State of the Union

Thoughts of education in the US come to mind. The politically correct view is we do not spend enough money on education. California is now "severely" cutting its education budget. Why not, California is broke (in more ways than one). Let's get real. We spend an ever increasing amount of money on education in this country and they (who are they anyway) say education in the US is deteriorating. If money could have fixed it, then education would be fixed by now.

I personally believe priorities, approaches and philosophies have more impact on education than money. The sky is falling (please send money). Global Warming Climate Change is catastrophic (please send money). Our health care system is failing (please send money - more taxes). Oil is running out / causing climate change (please send money). Education is failing (please send money).

Do you see a trend? Is it time to become BigHuge skeptical? Truthfully what good does skepticism do but at least I won't be duped as well and robbed and mugged. When the government decides to rob and mug you there is little you can do. But not being duped is within your grasp ... a moral victory.

Why are people like me not more sympathetic to the "Palastinitan" situation. Why do we see things more from the Jewish perspective? Is it because of some verse in the Bible? Or is it history. It seems the Islamists are incapable of appreciating historical evidence. "Jerusalem has never been an Israelie city" please, how dumb are you. The Holocaust never happened? And let's drag out that old Crusade canard again and torture the facts. I have no idea whether the "facts" in the above article are accurate. They are plausible and probably credible. I have seen them before. What is interesting to me is how many people ignore Islam's ugly history. These same people are blind to Islam's present. But Jews suffered in "Christian" nations also, often much worse.

Is this a spiritual issue. Are dark unseen forces are at work behind the scenes of human history? Many think this irrational hatred of the Jews through the ages substantiates the Bible's veracity.

Does the concept of "earth size scar" make you feel small? Some say God placed (or life inhabiting planets need) a huge Jupiter size guardian to gravitationally suck up the debris that would more often strike earth if Jupiter was not present. They believe this is one of the many fine tuning type events necessary to sustaining life on earth (or anywhere).

Or maybe earth simply keeps winning the galactic lottery over and over. Oh and yes, many life inhabiting planets keep winning the same galactic lottery of fine tuning and the universe is full of sentient beings. Which is harder to believe ... hmmmm ... thinking ... let me SETI here awhile and ponder the question.

I find the "View" completely useless and annoying but when I am trapped in a room while the "View" is playing, I must say Whoopi does a good job facilitating the discussion. She is funny and thick skinned. For a liberal Whoopi is OK. So maybe tolerable is a better word. But she is talented and articulate (no racial slur intended). Maybe I just plain like her. Following Rosie O'Whatever is easy duty, true. But Whoopi is very good at it.

Yes, we may need to get our astronomical information from other sources but I enjoyed the bit on moon landing conspiracy. Who knows if she was serious. It was at least funny and she is a comedian after all. Conservatives wetting their pants and trying to paint this as Whoopi stupid really need to find better material.

Can't Access Gmail Account?

Are you in deep weeds with your Gmail account? Was it hacked or for some reason have you lost access? I know someone with that problem. Google will ask you for the date you opened the account. Get real - who remembers that? They ask for when you last successfully logged on. Maybe that is realistic but even if you are correct Google is not impressed. The big one is you original verification code. Did anyone keep it? They ask for labels in your email account. Maybe that would help. It did not help the person I know. If you have the verification code, lock that baby away.

I am no longer confident about relying on so much Google based communication. I don't have my original code and don't know any way to obtain it. Google is not helpful in restoring your account. I beefed up my password but I am no longer buying into Google based computing. Sure you can always make a new account but what about all the other crap that relies on the Google password. This is a fly in the Google ointment for me.

Revision: They directed us to a new form to fill out. There may still be hope.

This is only one example of a deterioration theme presented in the Bible. We are hard pressed to find a Biblical theme of improvement in societal condition until the return of Jesus Christ. So (to continue in Biblical language) don't be distressed, these things must happen and continue getting worse. Hey, that's the way was, is and shall be until the end. And even then many will think their own effort is sufficient without a God to get in the way. We can be "good without God" is their motto.
