Every time a war breaks out in the Middle East, I receive a flurry of phone calls and email messages asking if it could be the War of Armageddon. This question is prompted by the fact that most people are familiar with only one end time war — the one that has been popularized in movies and novels as the "Battle of Armageddon."

Keeping the end time wars of Bible prophecy straight is not easy. This very organized presentation follows fairly traditional views with a few interesting turns. None of this means much to us on a daily basis. Before any of these wars happen, economies can collapse, other wars can break out, a myriad of events can make life interesting.
A case in point is Iceland’s economy bankrupting (if the USA recession is not interesting enough). Here is an interview where the first portion talks of an effective radio ministry in Iceland and the last part talks of Iceland’s boom then bust economy and how Icelandic priorities are changing under adversity.
To state the obvious, if uncomfortable temporal circumstances focus and direct our priorities on the eternal, that is a good thing. Being broke, sick or traumatized is no pick nick. Is there a silver lining?
